    He is married to Amy and they have three kids. He grew up in the Winston-Salem, NC area and is a graduate of UNC - Chapel Hill and Asbury Seminary. James is a sports fan (Atlanta Braves, Washington Redskins, UNC Tarheels) and enjoys running in many races included marathons. He is often better after he has had his cup of coffee. He has been the Lead Pastor at Bagley Swamp since 1999.

  • TODD KEMP Assistant PASTOR/Youth

    He has a wonderful wife  and is blessed with five daughters. He grew up in Roanoke, VA. Jesus became real to him in his junior year in high school. Following graduation from high school he felt called to ministry after he realized how God used his home church to speak into his life.  Once he graduated from Southern Wesleyan University, he found a home at Bagley Swamp Church. He has been on staff at Bagley Swamp since 2007.

  • Jinger Hickman worship

    She is married to an amazing husband and they have one very energetic Australian Shepherd. She grew up in Elizabeth City, NC and is a graduate of UNC Charlotte. Coming from a very musical family, Jinger grew up taking piano, guitar, and voice lessons, and playing special music on Sunday at her Dad's church. In college, Jinger was a member of a college ministry worship team as well as an active worship team member at her previous church United Wesleyan in Charlotte, NC. Jinger believes worship is one of the best ways to connect to God and she is excited to have the opportunity to help people grow closer to God through worship.

  • Heather dail Admin/children's director

    She is married to Greg and they have two sons. Heather graduated with a degree in Elementary Education in 2007 and has worked with children in numerous settings over the past 12 years. Her passion lies in creating personal relationships with children and their families. Her favorite bible verse has always been Proverbs 22:6- "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it." She feels that as a team, Bagley Swamp Church and families can work together to instill the love of Jesus in all children.
